Appointments

Bridal appointments are strongly recommended so you receive the attention that you deserve! A scheduled appointment does takes precedence over walk-ins. We always welcome guests into the store and do the best we are able to accommodate. However, during a busy day, an appointment may need to be made due to capacity of the store and structure of our customized appointments. Weekends tend to be busier than the weekdays, so if you have a larger group, or looking for a more intimate experience, we suggest an appointment during the week.

We do not allow food or alcoholic beverages in the store. Once a Bride says yes to her dress, we do provide a celebratory champagne toast to those within her group who are of legal drinking age.

Pricing

Effie’s Bridal believes in the integrity and ethics of brick-and-mortar sales and pricing policies set forth by designers. Discounted orders are treated the same as any and all bridal orders. We will never discount an MSRP set by the manufacturer outside of a trunk show or other exclusive event. Pricing is subject to change at any time and without notice. Effie’s Bridal does offer appropriate and proven price matching upon request (exclusions apply).

Agreements

Merchandise Purchased from Stock

Final Sale, no returns or refunds. This is considered Final Sale Merchandise and must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Due to the special nature of our Merchandise, once an item is taken from our store, it cannot be returned for refund or exchange. Effie’s Bridal Trunk (herein referred to as Effie’s) does not store items purchased from stock.

Layaway & Merchandise Orders

No returns or refunds on Special Orders and/or Layaway items. Once the payment has been received for the Layaway or Special Order, payment will not be refunded. Merchandise items are individually ordered from our designers, and orders will be placed once a minimum payment of 75% of the total order price has been received by Effie’s. Once your payment has been processed, the Special Order is immediately submitted electronically to the designer – MAKING ALL SALES FINAL. Therefore, payment cannot be refunded. Your credit card information will be securely stored within our BridalLive® software. Effie’s Bridal will be responsible for any un-natural flaws noted while the merchandise is in store during the product inspection process. Should an unfortunate circumstance happen as noted above, Effie’s Bridal will work diligently in resolving any flawed merchandise issues upon arrival to the store and resolve the given issues fairly and appropriately.

Sizing

Dresses are cut in standard sizes based on designer size charts and are not custom-sized. Sizes are recommended, but ultimately it is up to the bride to make the final decision. Effie’s will not be responsible for any measurement changes in the event of weight loss or weight gain, as the manufacturer will not accept cancellations or changes after the order has been placed. Bride agrees to the size ordered and understands that alterations should be expected and are not included in the price of the gown. Effie’s is not responsible for any measurements not taken by an Effie’s Bridal Consultant.

Delivery

Please note that any ship date provided to us by the designer is not a guaranteed ship date, but an estimate that the designer has provided to us, of when the item will ship out to Effie’s from their distribution warehouse. Lead times vary with each designer, but Effie’s anticipates the gown arriving to our store in an approximate 7-month time frame. In the event of a Rush Order, Effie’s would like you to be aware that due to production schedules it is still possible to experience a lag-time in delivery. A tentative rush ship date will be more clearly communicated to the bride when the order is placed. Effie’s does not anticipate there being any issues (i.e. dye variance, manufacturer’s delay, customer’s custom changes) however, Effie’s is not responsible, nor will we make compensation for circumstances outside of our control.

Pickup/Storage

Upon arrival of your Merchandise you will be notified via text. All balances must be settled, and gowns picked up within (14) days of notification due to the deadlines required by our vendors should there be any questions about orders post-delivery. If the Merchandise is not picked up within (14) days of notification, the credit card on file will be processed for any remaining balance as well as a weekly storage fee of $20, beginning 7 days from day fifteen (15) until the gown is picked up. If the gown has not been picked up after 60 days from the wear date, all payments and Merchandise are automatically forfeited to Effie’s. ONLY CASH & OR CREDIT CARD(S) ARE ACCEPTED FOR FINAL PAYMENT. Effie’s is not liable for the condition of any item once it has been removed from our premises.

Alterations

Alterations are not included in the price of the dress and are not contracted through Effie’s Bridal Trunk. While Effie’s provides a list of some local Alterations Specialists, your agreement is solely between you and the seamstress and are entirely independent of Effie’s. Effie’s is not liable for any alterations done to your dress. No alterations may be undertaken until the gown is paid in full.

Shipping

Upon request, bridal gowns will be shipped to the necessary location at your cost, which is determined by shipping location, package insurance, and time frame of shipping. The shipping fee is for Fed-Ex Ground (insured/signature required).
