Appointments are required for all bridal/bridesmaids appointments. Including bridesmaids and accessory pickups. We want to ensure that you deserve the attention you deserve. When scheduling an appointment with us, we are able to pre-register your information and keep you up to date with text notifications. Our appointments are an hour and a half for bridal and bridesmaid. If you would like a more intimate experience, we welcome you to schedule an appointment during the week.

Bring any undergarments you may or may not be planning to wear on your special day. This gives options of comfort and flexibility so you can try every style you like and feel confident and beautiful as you try on gowns. Bring a positive attitude and let your smile be your style the day of your appointment. Have your shoes? Bring them! This will help you get a better idea of how you will wear your dress the day of your wedding. Finally, be prepared to say those magical words when you find your dress.

We have found through experience that the more intimate group the better. We allow up to 6 guests to be apart of your special day. We don’t want the bride to become overwhelmed and confused through the fitting process. Our appointments have a time limit of an hour and a half.

We have a wide range of price points between each designer and dress line. Bridal can range anywhere from $1500-$5000. Bridesmaid dresses vary from $150-$450.

We carry every style to fit any Brides vision and personality. Options are key when it comes to Bridal and Bridesmaid and we understand that. We have your perfect dress to “Say Yes” to! We have between 800-1000 dresses in stock.

With factual information from the Nation-Wide Wedding Report for Minnesota, the average bride is between size 10-14. This being said, we have stock pieces that vary from size 8-24. This is the same with Bridesmaid stock dresses. If you fall in love with a dress that is too small or too big, not to worry! Our talented consultants can work their magic with dress clips and modesty panels!

The best solution is to come into Effie’s and have one of our seasoned Consultants measure you. If you are unable to come into the store, use a standard flexible measuring tape conducive to wrapping around the fullest part of your bust, smallest part of your waist and the fullest part of your hips.

To place an order for a new Bridal gown, you need to pay at least 75% of the total purchase price. You can pay this via check, cash or charge card. We accept all major charge card vendors and banks. If you pay 75% to order your gown, upon pickup, cash or card will only be accepted. As a reminder, all orders and purchases are non-refundable, transferable or exchanged.

For Bridal, anticipate for your dress to arrive at Effie’s between 6-7 months after the order is placed. If your wedding falls within that time frame, no worries! We do have rush options available. Throughout the year we hold Sample Sale events which gives you the opportunity to buy our stock off the rack and a discounted price. It takes between 14-16 weeks for Bridesmaid dresses to arrive at the store.

Effie’s does not provide alteration or cleaning services. In our “Say Yes” canvas bag of exciting information you will be receiving, we have included a list of recommended seamstress and cleaning specialists that we have worked with over the years.

Upon receipt of your gown, Effie’s will send you a text message through the same text chain that we sent your appointment confirmation through the first day you called. You have 14 days to pick up your dress before we start charging a weekly fee. It isn’t viable for us to store dresses. However, if you reach out within that 14 day period and you update us, we will not charge you the weekly fee if it exceeds the 14 days. When you get our exciting text message, give us a call to make a Bridal Gown Pick Up appointment. This appointment is an hour and a half and gives you the opportunity to bring in friends and family. Try on your dress, try on veils and accessories, and enjoy your final moments in our private Pink Parlor room before you walk down the aisle!
